Information Not Subject to Reverification
Certain non-financial information does not need to be verified more than once, unless the circumstances of the assistance unit have changed, or the original information that was provided is now considered questionable. For example, at review a client confirms on there recertification form that they are living at the same address. There is no other information known to the Department conflicting this client residency. Therefore the information is not questionable and not subject to reverification.
If a verification for a circumstance has been previously provided, and the client states that there is no change to those circumstances, and the information has not changed within BEACON, those verifications will appear on the ECF Verification page as Verified, and the received date of that verification will remain.
Information related to income, expenses, or assets (in accordance with program rules), is also subject to reverification.
Note: Although considered a permanent verification, identity for a grantee who has not been an Active, Pending or Ineligible member in any AU for any program for one calendar year or longer will be subject to reverification in BEACON. You must first attempt to use external data to determine if an acceptable verification remains on file.
Whenever you attempt to issue a VC-1 or INT-2 for an item that is not subject to reverification, a warning edit will be displayed stating:
“ You are asking for verification(s) that have already been verified:
Are you sure you want to proceed? Yes/No”
If No is selected, the edit page is closed and you will continue onto the existing page. You must verify the item using the appropriate information previously provided.
If you select yes, you will receive a second edit stating:
“Please explain what extraordinary circumstances require this to be reverified. This information will appear on the Narrative.”
You must enter this information to remove this edit.
