Pathways Participation Workflow - Overview
The Pathways Participation Workflow is used to record whether a client is actively engaged with the activity listed in their Pathways Plan. Full Engagement Workers (FEWs) and Self-Sufficiency Specialists (SSSs) will use this workflow to record participation information received when:
- a client submits a signed Participation form
- the FEW or SSS has a communication touchpoint with the client acknowledging they engaged fully for the month being reported
- a Provider attests to the client’s active participation through required monthly co-case management
- other verification of participation hours, engagement or program progress is submitted
Any client who is subject to school or work rules must have an approved Plan that will support progress on their education, training or employment goals and participate for the required amount of hours each week.
FEWs and SSSs will use this workflow each month to enter the required information on the appropriate page for any participant who had a Pathways to Work and participation record for the prior month. For those subject to work and school rules, this touchpoint verifies that they have met this program rule. If a participant attests that they did not meet the rule, including a good cause reason, and all attempts to reengage have been unsuccessful the FEW or SSS must authorize the sanction.
For some clients, their participation may be recorded by their own attestation that they have engaged for the expected hours in that activity. For parents under 20 or dependents subject to school rules or those enrolled in TAFDC Community Service, weekly hours must be verified. For clients who are employed, the system will review a client’s verified Earned Income record and display the average hours used to determine participation in this workflow.
