ADA Approval
If a requested Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation is granted, a copy of the approval notice is available on BEACON in the Client Communication Tab.
Important: Any additional information about the accommodation must be entered in the Comments section on the appropriate pages of the Accommodation/Special Assistance workflow.
Once an accommodation is approved an icon will appear (the ADA in a blue circle, or a blue circle with a “+” sign) to indicate a client with an authorized representative. The icon will appear under the ADA column to the left of the Client’s Name on the following pages designating that an accommodation has been given:
- Client Search
- ECF header information
- ECF Tools tab
- Accounts Receivable -> Referral Search
- Accounts Receivable -> Recovery Subject Search
- Accounts Receivable -> Obligation Search
- Accounts Receivable -> Account Search
- Accounts Receivable -> SSA Case Search
- Payments -> Payments Client Invoice Search FWP Sampling
- Hearings -> Appeal Search; and
- Sampling -> FWP Sample Search.
Also, when DTA staff access any View, when a client with an accommodation is selected from the view, a pop-up message will appear informing you that: “Client has ADA Accommodation. Details are available on the ADA Accommodations page.”
These changes will ensure that you can identify clients with accommodations and provide any appropriate accommodation.
When you see this icon (the ADA in a blue circle, or a blue circle with a “+” sign) to indicate a client with an authorized representative, click it to go to the Accommodation page to review what accommodations have been agreed to for the client, and take any appropriate action.
