Reevaluations Overview

Reevaluations are an integral part of the case management process and are designed to gather information that leads to the determination of a client’s continued eligibility. Reevaluations are also referred to as Eligibility Reviews.

Reevaluations must be conducted on all EAEDC cases, at a minimum of every 12 months.

Reevaluations for EAEDC cases may be completed over the phone or in person. See Reevaluations  All other Reevaluation pages in this book apply to both telephone and in-person Reevaluations.

Note: When processing a Reevaluation you should always choose Reevaluation from the Workflow drop-down list.  Remember, Reevaluations must be initiated in the Reevaluation – Initiate/Re-Initiate page and then submitted in the Reevaluation Submit page in order to be completed in BEACON. These pages are only accessible in the Reevaluation workflow. Be careful not to go through Case Maintenance when doing a Reevaluation, as BEACON will not recognize the changes and will not update the recertification period(s).
