DTA Staff: Updating Your Status in BEACON

When TAO staff report to work, they must log onto and make themselves available in BEACON.


Making User Available in BEACON

  1. click the BEACON 3 icon on the user’s desktop
  2. enter the user’s name and password
  3. click the Logon button
  4. if the status button in the upper right hand corner of the home screen displays Not Available or Out of Office, click it until the user shows as Available Users must only mark themselves as unavailable in BEACON when at lunch, at training or in a meeting. A user’s BEACON status should not be marked as unavailable while seeing a client or completing an Action or Notification.

Making a User Not Available in BEACON

click the status button in the upper-right-hand corner of the BEACON home screen until it displays Not Available

Users must mark themselves as out of office in BEACON when leaving the office for the day.


Making a User Out of Office in BEACON

  1. click the status button in the upper right hand corner of the BEACON home screen until it displays Out of Office.
